Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 14, 2026
Your privacy matters to us. This Privacy Policy explains what information Merge JSON ("we", "us", "the Service", available at mergejsonfiles.com) collects, does not collect, and how we handle information when you use our browser-based JSON tools, articles, contact form, analytics, and advertising-supported pages.
1. Who operates this website
Merge JSON is an independent online JSON toolkit. For privacy questions, contact us through the contact page or at mergejsonfiles@gmail.com.
2. Your JSON data is processed locally
Merge JSON is a fully client-side tool. When you add files or paste JSON and merge it, all parsing and processing happen locally in your web browser using JavaScript. Your JSON files, code snippets, and merged results are never transmitted to, stored on, or accessed by any server by the core tool logic. This applies to tools such as merge, format, validate, minify, sort, flatten, unflatten, convert, and generate JSON.
3. Information we do not collect from tool usage
- We do not collect, upload, or retain your JSON files or their contents.
- We do not require an account to use the JSON tools.
- We do not sell your JSON files, merged output, or contact messages.
- We do not use tool input to train models, build profiles, or target ads.
4. Information you choose to send us
If you contact us, we may receive the name, email address, subject, and message you submit. We use that information only to read your message, respond to you, investigate issues, and improve the Service. Contact form delivery may be handled by EmailJS or a similar email service provider.
5. Cookies, local storage, and preferences
The JSON tools do not require cookies to process your data. We may use local storage to remember interface preferences, such as theme or tool settings. Local storage stays in your browser unless you clear it.
6. Analytics
We may use Google Analytics or similar tools to understand aggregate site usage, such as pages visited, browser type, device type, approximate location, and referral source. Analytics helps us find broken pages, improve navigation, and prioritize useful tools. Analytics scripts do not receive your JSON input or generated output from the tools.
7. Advertising and Google AdSense
Merge JSON may show ads through Google AdSense or other advertising partners to keep the tools free. Third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies or similar technologies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables Google and its partners to serve ads based on visits to this site and other sites on the Internet.
You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google My Ad Center. You can also learn more about how Google uses information from sites that use its services at Google's partner sites policy and manage many third-party advertising cookies through AboutAds where available.
8. Hosting, security, and technical logs
Like most websites, our hosting provider, content delivery network, analytics provider, advertising partners, and security tools may process technical information such as IP address, browser type, device information, referring pages, pages visited, timestamps, and error logs. These logs are used for security, reliability, analytics, fraud prevention, and ad delivery. They do not include the JSON files or JSON text you process inside the tools.
9. Third-party links
Our website may link to third-party websites, documentation, libraries, or services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those third-party websites. Review their policies before submitting personal information to them.
10. Children's privacy
Merge JSON is a general-purpose developer tool and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.
11. Your choices
You can clear local storage and cookies in your browser settings, block third-party cookies, use private browsing mode, or adjust advertising personalization settings through Google and other ad-choice tools. You may also contact us to request deletion of contact messages you sent to us, subject to reasonable security and record-keeping needs.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
13. Contact us
